They're on the brink of adulthood, with hordes of girls throwing themselves in their path wherever they go.
But One Direction have proven they haven't lost their boyish sense of humour quite yet.
The lads goofed around for a Nickelodeon promotional video, dressing up in false moustaches and teasing each other in front of the cameras.
Perhaps to remind fans of their slightly more mature side, the boys also listed the qualities they look for most in prospective girlfriends.
Sense of humour: One Direction enjoyed a dressing up session as part of a Nickelodeon promotional video
Louis Tomlinson divulged: 'I like a girl with a good sense of humour.'
Niall Horan said that he likes 'someone that's cute,' while Liam prefers someone 'quite shy, fun to be around'.
Zayn continued: 'I like a girl that's relaxed and doesn't take life too seriously'.
Ever elusive, Harry simply said that he'd like 'someone that's nice.'
Mature side: Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson also chatted about what they look for in their ideal girl
In the interests of fairness, One Direction also gave their verdicts on each other.
Louis was judged the 'joker of the band', while Harry was described as 'curly-haired, very charming'.
Niall was called a 'kind a go with the flow kind of guy, always seems to be laughing about something or have a big smile on his face'
Finally Liam was described as 'the daddy of the group. If we get a bit too crazy he's like "come on boys"'

'Zayn's the mysterious one with a bit of a pout. You never really know what he's thinking, which is I suppose good sometimes'
The boys have certainly been making themselves at home across the pond- though their stay hasn't been without one or two spots of trouble.
The gang were reprimanded for 'trashing' a bowling alley after a successful New York gig.

Louis said: 'The whole thing came off its hinges. It totally broke. We got a slap on the hand and were told off by the label for that.'
'We'd taken over a lane, played about two games and then we got a bit bored. So we started to experiment, throwing two or three balls at the same time.'
'It was really bad but quite funny - but no one else thought so,' added Harry.
Despite the incident the group remained enthusiastic about their progress in America so far, and were clearly impressed by the reception they have had from their audiences.
Don't need an excuse! Liam and Niall were spotted messing around while off duty on Friday
'It was definitely the loudest place we've ever played,' Harry told the Daily Mirror after their New York gig.
'The noise levels were incredible.'
The Brits award winners have proven to be quite a hit in the States and have been steadily busy for the past couple of weeks.
Taken to their new environment: The boys have been enjoying the warm reception in America
After missing several dates on tour in the USA with his band-mates, Zayn Malik got firmly back in the swing of things with the band.
The Bradford based singer had to rush home last week following the death of his aunt but was welcomed back to the fold and continued the promotional tour with the other four members.
One Direction have already appeared in a Nickelodeon TV show called iCarly and their stock is set to rise further as they have been confirmed to perform at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards on March 31st.
